Jim Kenefick

Before starting an independent practice, Jim was a Consultant in the Strategic Change group at Gap Inc., where he supported the creative and executive leadership of Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. Prior to Gap, Jim was at Ninth House Network (now PDI Ninth House) where he had responsibility for the development and design of immersive online leadership effectiveness programs. Earlier in his career, Jim was an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant at American Management Association, and an Assistant Vice President at Sotheby’s Inc.

Jim has collaborated with management thought-leaders such as Tom Peters, William Bridges, Ken Blanchard, and Peter Block. In addition to numerous large-scale initiatives and training programs, Jim designed the award-winning online programs High Impact Hiring and Capturing Brand You. He co-authored the opening chapter in Facilitating Group Communication In Context: Innovations and Applications with Natural Groups, 2nd Ed., a winner of the National Communication Association’s Distinguished Book Award.

Jim earned his B.A. in Organizational Development from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and his M.A. in Social and Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
